Kates Playground Gallery 2010

Leica M9

Exactly after two months of waiting, came the M9 "black paint".
Surely the "steel gray" was very attractive, but I have not had the courage.
I take it in hand keeping in mind (and heart) is still the M6 TTL, separating at least ten years .. and the feeling is the same: rugged, German-built short.
exact same finish .. more a 18 megapixel sensor, a shutter less metal (with vertical scroll).
's funny how in M Leica, the quietest was the "first", the M3 of 1954, rising with the models become progressively more noisy.
Undoubtedly, the M9 is noisier than the M6, the metal shutter can not be compared with the fabric, though, compared with the M8 .... the "nine" is equipped with an effective silencer.
The 18-megapixel CCD does its job very well, but we must take into account the modus operandi CMOS is markedly different from that Nikon and Canon have accustomed us.
what you pay in noise (but is much more similar to that of film) is returned in definition and color accuracy .
For the first time, having photographed a person, I have the impression of being at Madame Tussaud.

These are the first impressions after just one week of use, beyond a detailed review on this camera "Made in Germany".
