Ho sempre subito il fascino della Kodak Tri-X, una pellicola bianco e nero veramente eccezionale, direi quasi dotata di un'anima propria.
Ho avuto anche la fortuna di svilupparla e devo dire che è una delle pellicole più facili da gestire; ma i tempi cambiano ed ormai sono passato completamente al digitale, anche se nel frigorifero ho ancora due rullini da 36 pose che aspettano di essere esposti.
Come ottenere facilmente un buon bianco e nero digitale?
Domanda assolutamente non facile, a cui provo a rispondere illustrando il mio "modus operandi", appena messo a punto che mi sta dando ottime soddisfazioni.
Superficialmente potrebbe sembrare facilissimo convertire una foto in b/n, basta "desaturare", si va incontro però ad un risultato che il 100% delle volte è assolutamente piatto ed anonimo.
La via più facile ma che al tempo stesso permette un controllo accurato di molti paremetri e risultati ottimi è Silver Efex Pro di Nik Software, un plug-in per Photoshop o Lightroom.
Purtroppo questo programma costa 199$, ma può essere scaricato for a free 15 day trial.
